I'm working
on a YA novel entitled, "A Better Place Without You," a story about bullying, inspired by true events.
Married with a sixteen-year-old son and a twelve-year-old daughter, I live in New Jersey and love to read and write, blog,
cook, and Zumba, a Latin-Hip Hop dance program which keeps me in touch with songs my daughter listens to, like, you know,
Low, Boom, Boom Pow, Alejandro. I do love some of today's music. Lady Gaga, the
second coming of Madonna, is fabulous. Black-Eyed Peas is fun to dance to. And my latest discovery, Duffy. She's retro soul
and reminds me of Dusty Springfield who I always adored. A true baby boomer, I love my TV.
Favorite current dramas: Mad Men and Glee. Favorite comedies are oldies but goodies: Sex and the City, Seinfeld and Fawlty
Towers.
I'm a classic movie buff. I love Hitchcock, William Wyler, Billy Wilder, Howard Hawks, George Stevens.
This year's favorite movies include Inglorious Basterds, Up in the Air, Up, Taking Woodstock, An Education and Grey Gardens.
Favorite adult novels include Pride & Prejudice, Widow for One Year, A Kiss Before Dying, Sister of My Heart,
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant, American Wife, My Sister's Keeper, Too Many Men.
Beloved YA novels include What I Saw and How I Lied, The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things, We All Fall Down, Keeping
the Moon, Dreamland, Speak, Sweethearts, Living Dead Girl, The Green Glass Sea, The Devil's Arithmetic.
